Colin Farrell takes Winter’s Tale co-star for a ride on his white steed
So it will come as little surprise to his fans that Colin Farrell took his co-star for a thrill ride on a horse in New York on Wednesday.
Jessica Brown Findlay wrapped her arms round his waist and clung on for dear life as the powerful stallion took full advantage of the wide open spaces at Prospect Park.
It went at quite a cantor as it was spurred on by action man Colin, who seemed to be enjoying the excitement of the experience as they filmed scenes for Winter’s Tale.
He only learned how to ride when he filmed 2004’s much-ridiculed Alexander, and the former line dancing instructor’s natural rhythm has obviously held him in good stead.
The former Ballykissangel star looked every inch the dashing lead as they romped through a grassy plain and into a wooded area.
In the forthcoming film, which is based on a novel with the same title, Colin’s character Peter Lake forms a special bond with the horse, which also acts as his guardian angel.
The love story follows what happens when the burglar falls for a dying young woman, played by flame-haired Downton Abbey star Jessica Brown Findlay, after breaking into her Manhattan mansion.
The story will flick between the 19th century and present day New York, and is the directorial debut of the Oscar-winning Beautiful Mind writer Akiva Goldsman.
But Colin’s path will not be easy, for he has to evade the clutches of a thoroughly rotten gangster played by Russell Crowe, who is the one who presses him into thievery in the first place.
